The arrangements include a Nairobi church mass on Wednesday, Kipsigis overnight vigils on Thursday, and a joint final rite at Emurua Dikir Primary School on Friday, March 6, 2026,  after which families will proceed with burials at their respective homes.

Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu has outlined funeral plans for the late Johana Nge'no and four others, confirming that all costs will be covered by the County Government of Narok.

The arrangements include a Nairobi church mass on Wednesday, Kipsigis overnight vigils on Thursday, and a joint final rite at Emurua Dikir Primary School on Friday, March 6, 2026,  after which families will proceed with burials at their respective homes.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, Governor Ntutu said a church mass will be held in Nairobi on Wednesday in honor of the late MP and will be presided over by AGC Karen Church.

On Thursday, in accordance with Kipsigis customs, the bodies of the Emurua Dikir Mp Johana Ngeno and Wycliffe Rono will be transported from Lee Funeral Home to their rural homes for an overnight vigil.

On the same day, the bodies of Carlos Keter, Nick Kosgey, and Amos Kipngetich will depart Nairobi. An early morning requiem mass will be held at Emurua Dikir Primary School, giving members of the public an opportunity to pay their last respects.

The three bodies will then be preserved at Kilgoris morgue, while Ngeno and Rono’s bodies will proceed to their respective homes.

On Friday, all five bodies will converge at Emurua Dikir Primary School for the final joint rites. “Following the joint ceremony, each family will proceed with the burial at their respective homes,” the statement read in part.

Governor Ntutu emphasized unity in mourning, stating, “In life, they stood together; in death, we shall honour them together.”

He further noted that, in his capacity as governor, he had directed that all the bodies be received and preserved at Lee Funeral Home to ensure proper coordination of arrangements.

“All funeral expenses will be fully met by the County Government of Narok,” he assured, adding that more details would be communicated in due course.

Born in 1972, Ngeno was serving his third term in Parliament after first being elected in 2013. He chaired the Departmental Committee on Housing, Urban Planning, and Public Works, was a member of the Liaison Committee, and served on the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee during the 12th Parliament.
